I was thinking the same.....the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals raises money with a commercial showing animals suffering.

And subjected us to endless Sarah Loughlin. What about cruelty to humans?!?

I do. I have given big bags of cat and dog food to Friends of Perry Animal Shelter.

Decades ago I learned it's best to give
donations to local organizations if you
expect it to benefit actual animals.
National organizations spend the money
on advertizing and lobbying interests
to create more donations, not much
filters down to local ASPCA offices.
Haven't heard of any changes so guess
it's still true.
