Can anyone help me modify me factory running boards? I'd like them to be 3" lower than they are now.

As much as I would like to buy new nerf bars, I think this would be the smarter move. I don't know the best way to go about this, but I don't mind if you permanently modify the nerf bars or brackets.

Thanks.

probably cheaper to buy aftermarket bars that mount how you want them. Factory bars are usually cheapish and may not be easily modified. Most of the factory ones I have dealt would be time consuming and expensive to modify.

Let the air out of the tires.

Showing how they're attached to the truck may help. I'm thinking a spacer of some kind.

There are 3 of these braces per side. They actually look simple to me, but I'm no fabricator, lol.
