How would you fill this hole?

Before you patch it up, get a bunch of fake 100's, wrap up some flour with saran wrap and duct tape, throw in some non-functional Saturday night specials and a few burner phones....then patch it up. Wait a few years for a news story. Should be entertaining. And all that crap shoved in there should make for a good back stop for filler.

Look up Gluvit, used in the marine trade for the very purpose. Lowes, HD.

Don't even know where to begin with finding a column that matches the other 3.

Simple, go to the millwork desk at your local lumber yard with the dimensions. About 100 bucks for wood, more for plastic, fiberglass, etc.

You are going to have several days and well over 100 bucks worth of stuff tied up in it when done, and it will look like crap.

How about just replace the column. There is a ton of work to make that old thing look good, it is not just the hole. You will use a ton of bondo and primer.
