How we open Champagne in the South

I think I'm going to try "sabering" a bottle of cheap champagne, or maybe one of those "Welch's sparkling grape juice" bottles that they sell at WalMart for $3. They look like 3/4 scale champagne bottles, made of real green glass.

I'd use the 12" bladed machete (Ontario Knife Co.) I keep in my vehicle.

Nope. The pressure in the bottle blows any glass away when you knock off the top.
