I have an IHC CMP Collector Grade M1 that I keep thinking I will throw on GB.
I am sure that I will one day regret it (if I do).

I carved up a couple of 1903 Springfield handguards today. This allowed me to finish Covid project #2 and a significant step towards completing project #3. That still leaves Covid project 4 and 5 to get wrapped up. One day.....
The closest handguard is for my USMC 1941 Sniper project. The rear handguard is for my USMC 1903-A5 sniper rifle (project #3) and was made from a real "high-hump" handguard (still has wet stain on it). I have to say that I'm pretty impressed with myself as they both finished out looking just like the real thing.
The rifle was converted from a drill rifle and has a 1921 built SA receiver and a 1927 SA barrel that gauges pretty close to new. The scope is a Unertl 1.5" objective scope - the correct scope is a Unertl 1.25" scope, but this one was super cheap and it'll be a good placeholder til I find a more suitable option. I may still end up refinish everything, but I'm digging the used look.
