This pandemic is vindication for us self reliant people. Personal responsibility has always been a major tenet of our existence. Here’s a loaf of bread my wife just made. Good luck

When the kids were small the wife got into making her own bread and grinding her own wheat. It was stout stuff that you could make a meal with. The kids hated it when I used whole wheat to make pancakes -- too heavy. We still have a sealed bucket of grain in the basement if things go super south.
 
I bought extra flour and yeast before the rush for the same reason. I went to Publix yesterday and was surprised to see the flour and sugar section cleared out. I'm honestly surprised that the suburbanites are thinking about baking as a contingency plan.

Many a bisquit was eat during the great depression. Just saying.
