Hello All,
I have recently brought my father home from the hospital to stay with my at my home. He is in pretty bad shape and has good days and bad. I have a home PT nurse coming in, and they can provide a once or twice a week type of person to help with bathing an such. Anyone have any experience with a full time healthcare person, or service. I don't think I need it 24/7, but might need a few days in a row of a House/Father sitter :).
I am new to all this. So any info would be helpful.

"Patient Info"
79 years old (Congestive Heart Failure, Kidney Disease, Diabetic)

At the moment can barely walk

has a bed side commode

He can transfer from his wheelchair to a recliner and back to the wheelchair and to the commode on his own.

He does the sponge bath thing at the moment, but trying to get him to do the shower transfer bench (he being stubborn about that)

On a good day, he can get out of bed and get dressed and do the bathroom thing and get into his wheelchair, then role into the kitchen and start the coffee pot. If there are bananas he will get one of those. Anything more than that with food, someone has to fix for him. (for now)

Anyway, we are kind of playing this by ear at the moment.

Thanks
