Help with a shotgun sale

I have never sold a gun to an individual that required shipping, and I wanted to know what is the best way to ship a shotgun to a potential buyer? How do I ensure payment and follow laws regarding shipping of firearms?

The buyer in GA? If they are you can ship direct. If they are in another state, you must ship to an FFL in their home state or they can come to an FFL in Ga to do the transfer. You can ship a Shotgun from USPS, Fedex or UPS. To ensure payment, have them send a USPS money order or some other form of secure payment before shipping. Beware of fake money orders or official looking bank checks. They clear initially then get bounced back later on and you are the one stuck with paying the bank back. I only would ship a gun to someone that has multiple feed backs or someone I know. I know a lot of people ship all of the time, but I can't afford to give a gun away to a scammer.

Its the only time I use FedEx. They don't give u crap like the rest.

You could always do a Western Union wire transfer on the money. I forgot about that option.
