Head down firearms day/night match!!!

No, Sir. I'm not a competition shooter, I stick to tactical training. I did one local steel match at Stoddard's on a whim and finished top 3. Wasn't exactly tough competition though, lol.
Stand and shoot is indeed pretty boring.

Combining strategy, shooting and hit factor scoring on the other hand... is quite challenging.

Precisely. A client that does GSSF competitions brought his team out for tactical training and said I should try competitions. He said it's pretty much the same thing I'm already doing, but said it's not about tactical movements as much as just hauling butt and shooting well.

I implement a Hit/Miss scoring system with shots having to hit within the target C-zone. I usually save timed drills for the end of sessions just for fun. Shooters have 1 round extra per target to make up for misses. Rounds left over at the end of the drill deduct 1 sec from overall time. So he suggested I give comps a try.
