Can he do the job he's interviewing for? Will the extra gear be a danger to his life or someone else when doing the job? Not my thing, but none of my business what someone does to themselves.
I think the metal wire that goes across his face in front of his eyes would help him to stay on the right line crunching numbers. He could be an aspiring accountant. The IRS wouldn't call him in for an audit more than once and he might be an effective call center person. He might be OK.
