I'm not much of a wheel gun guy, so pardon me if this is an easy fix. This revolver (an older Astra .38) fell about a foot onto the floor, and caused the hammer to pop out. Can it be fixed easily, and how?

Sad to say, it’s definitely broken. Next sadist problem is that you’ll have to source a used hammer and have it fitted to the frame. If you feel up to a wee drive swing by Boots and Buckshot in Cartersville Georgia. I’ll give you a better idea on what’s what internally, and what it will take.

Yep, snapped. Easy tell, hammer has to have a pivot point to swing on. That's either a permanent pin through the hammer that fits into a recess in the frame allowing it to pivot, or a through hole in the hammer that a loose pin goes through. No pin or hole for a pin, hammer no worky.
