So I guess they got tired of the phone ringing. The reason you can't request a date on that link is..... there are no dates available. When asked how I'm supposed to make an appointment then, the answer? "Just keep watching the calendar, we may get a cancellation."

To save other Gwinnettians the headache, since this is NO WHERE on their website.... Fill out all the forms, and simply don't sign it. Bring it to the ESTATE OFFICE of the Probate Court. Someone in there can sign it and witness your signature. Put it all in an envelope, INCLUDING a SASE (never got a clear reason why that is necessary) and then drop it in the drop box outside their door.

SASE came back yesterday with temporary permit enclosed. So, 1 week. Will update when permanent copy arrives.

I'm having the same issue. No appts available in Gwinnett for the rest of the year, although walk-ins accepted in the afternoon beginning December.

Sounds like you need to be walking in sometime soon to get processed.
