Good North Ga AK gunsmith?

Me and two other friends have SLR107URs that need chopping and crowning. It seems like a lot of smiths are backed up, and many dont take in aks. Anyone have any experience with local smiths?

I'm sorry to hear that, I've had them work on a Galil and a few sigs. I've had 2 friends use them to build their AK parts kits, without issues as well. I'd use them personally, sorry your experience was not positive.

Interesting. Thats where my buddy had an ak rebuilt and he contacted them about chopping these arsenals and was quoted a great price. But ive heard of one person having to order a new receiver because theirs got destroyed by fta.
Hell I might just buy the tools to do it myself. Or just hacksaw it and square it up with a file or piloted counterbore tool until I can find a good smith with a decent lead time lol
