What kinda tubes you running?
I though they were "poors" since I picked up a PVS-14 on arfcom EE for cheap. I took the unit apart and posted pics of the tube in the "What tube(s) do I have?" thread there. Turns out they are high spec'd OMNI VII's, autogated w/ gain control and no real blems. There is a little bit of chicken wire if I crank up the gain in certain settings. Resolution and low light performance are also great. I haven't been able to compare them to a bunch of other 14's but they are as good or better than anything I have laid my hands on.
Shortly after picking it up, I started looking into binos and had settled on BNVD-SG's from JRH (South GA dealer) but the more I use the 14, the more I think the 14 is a better fit for me. I live in the burbs and I can go from pretty dark to street light pretty quick so keeping one eye out in the real World has its benefits. I think I want binos "just because" if you know what I mean...
