GET SOME. Official NFA Pic thread.

Got another NIB M16a2/M4, this one is my 3rd from the 1985/2008 mfg KC Colt collection. 80300XX Guns. About two dozen of them exist (Diff models), but are they are the only current factory made M16/M4 transferrable MGs as they have two MFG dates with Colt and one with the ATF. Colt registered the bare Auto A2 (A2E4) receivers with the ATF in 85 and all of the 80300XX guns were built into rifles in 2008. ETA out of jail is late Jan 2021.

There is one on GB right now for 60K (link below). It is a 20" fixed stock Config, model RO901, NIB. I also have a RO901 NIB. I reached out to him and he has 4 from this collection Two RO901s and two M4s. This collection was sold between 2014 & 2015 by JK (Colt executive) to David Spiwak & CC-Armory. I picked up the 1st from Spiwak and 2nd one from CC-Armory in 2014 for 30K each. I. This M4 from that collection popped up for sale by a SOT in TX called Mockingbird precision. He was asking 40K, but I work out a deal/mg-trade with him that worth 37ish back in February. I keep track of all the serial numbers from this collection as they pop up. Over the past 5yrs I've recorded about a dozen, but I feel there are two dozen. All are 80300XX Serial numbers. Either M4 or RO901 config, all auto-stamped, detachable carry handles NIB from Colt in the latest finish. I've seen them pop up for sale for the low to mid 30s from owners that don't know the history (at least they were popping up a couple of years back NIB). If you or anyone come across a 80300XX range and it's in the 30s, buy it or let me know.

Here is my RO901. When Colt put the blank registered receivers on the assembly line in 2008, they made them like they would current postbans for the military. Barcoded serialized box and bag and all. I blurred out the last two digits from these picks I did years back for whatever reason, this one shown is number 63 .

And as a FYI, a RO901 is a M16A4 for international military sales.

US Military:
R0945 Safe-Semi-Burst

International:
R0901 / NSN 1005-01-383-2872 Safe-Semi-Auto
R0905 Safe-Semi-Burst

That’s awesome. Sadly I believe it would cost me 2-3 of these if I told the wife we had to stop the house building endeavor for me to buy a MG right now. But this is useful knowledge and something for me to look for when I make the move. Never knew you could get something like this or that manufacturers played with new/old combos to make legal. I figured I’d be getting a old upper and end up putting on my own upper
