Good to hear an actual md reply. My question is why is this virus so much more devastating in the media's view than the flu? My opinion is it's due to the election. Sure the china flu has killed, but the flu has also. The flu is easy to contain, if folks stay home, and usually do.

1. The media will blow everything out of proportion to get clicks.

2. The death rate from Covid is likely far higher than the flu. Saying more people die of flu than Covid is like saying more people die driving their car than playing Russian roulette. Therefor driving is deadlier than playing Russian roulette. That is obviously nonsense. What matters is the denominator or the infection fatality rate. Which depends on knowing how many people are infected. Which we don't know because our testing is effed up, but there is data to show Covid is deadlier.
