Garage door makes a popping noise on opening and closing

Sometimes. Not every time.

I noted rheno ly damage is this popped corner on a thing where the flange is riveted to the door panel. Would a simple bolt and nut fix this maybe? Short of course.
First pic is the popped panel. Second pic is the next good hinge above.

Have you tried tightening the hex-headed screws (bolts?)?
On my door they get loose from time to time and I just tighten them.

If they're riveted and the rivets have popped, then bolts and nuts may be the answer.

Seems from the picture like the bracket isnt sitting in the right place, might be hard to fix it like that...

Has it ever slammed down forcefully somehow? Or closed on something and the panel got smashed? It looks like it got compressed at some time.

It's popped off, rivets and flange broke. I think the only "fix" is to drill it and use a small thing bolt and nut (with washers) to affix the plate to the aluminum molding (where it broke). Girlfriend has no idea how it was broken. She's going to call a door guy so I'm off the hook. For now
