FYI Speer Lawman 9mm 147 in stock

Yesterday I shot some Speer Lawman 147 grain and some Magtech Subsonic 147 grain in my Glock 43 with my new Griffin Armament Optimus.
Were both "hearing safe" but not as quiet as I had hoped for.
The Speer 147 grain were a tad bit louder to my ears. Don't have a meter but did record on phone.
I ordered some CCI Blazer 147 from Midway and will test those when I get them.
Once I get those I will post on YouTube.

OK. What is the difference with Fiocchi 158s? Are they slower?

For any given caliber the heavier the projectile is the slower the muzzle velocity will be in order to maintain a safe chamber pressure for that caliber. You can push heavier bullets faster with hotter loads (see: buffalo bore) but you're pushing your firearm close to its design limits and cause undue wear and tear on it.
