up until the late 50's Winchester made two great pump 22 rifles, the model 61 hammerless and the model 62A hammer gun. Concurrently, they made two great pump shotguns-the model 97 hammer gun and and Model 12 hammerless.
It seems like lately, the price of a basic 12 gauge model 12 has fallen into the $350 range while the 97 prices are going thru the roof for almost any variant or condition.
With the 22's the situation is reversed- the model 62's, while not decreasing in value like the model 12's (yet?) are only holding stable, while the prices for model 61's are very strong right now.
I know it's a supply and demand thing, but in the internet era, there is no shortage of any of these fine guns.
