Fundamentals of pistol marksmanship

Sending shots left/right because of too much/little finger on the trigger is a common misconception. It's almost always a result of changing grip pressure while pulling the trigger. This is really easy to test. Use different parts of your index finger to pull the trigger and you'll find that shots go dead center. Then start shifting grip pressure between your strong and support hands as you pull the trigger and they'll shift from side to side. You can easily do this in dry fire. Watch the sights as you pull the trigger with different parts of your index finger, then watch the sights as you vary grip pressure.
