Item Description: I have not shot this rifle. I dont even have any ammo for it. It appears that someone has chromed the butt plate,nose cap on the lower stock and both side plates on the receiver. It was done very well. The dust cover is the only thing missing on this original winchester. The bore has some rifling. There is no pitting on this model 1873. Every thing seems to work. The serial seems to place its mfg of around 1882. I am looking for a more modern lever gun.
