Rose of Sharon - Althea is easy to grow, drought resistant, attracts hummingbirds and butterflies, and is deer resistant and makes a great privacy screen, hedge planting or bed planting by itself. Rose of Sharon is a deciduous shrub meaning it drops its leaves every winter and leafs back out in spring. Mature plants bloom in mid to late summer.
