You all know me for the many and collectable, or Target shooting Handguns I have been advertising and successfully selling on the ODT for many, many years and I don’t think a one of you would say you didn’t get exactly or even better than what was advertised to you. If there any exceptions I don’t think many of you would not keep coming back numerous times to buy a quality product over and over.
WELL I am not advertising a gun for sale this time, I am advertising a product that I put my heart and soul in for over two years doing research into a part of my life I thought I had lost forever. After a life threatening Heart Attack followed by three strokes within a week after that know one knew about for months my memory bank was wiped clean. I didn’t know who my Wife of over fifty years was, didn’t know my two adult daughters, my five Grandchildren who all lived close by and were at our house spending a night weekly, and maybe the most heart breaking of all my Dear Sweet Mother and Daddy were. They have gone on to be with the Lord now but I don’t think they ever realized how much of my memory was gone! I grew up in an old fashioned country, truck farming family where I was doing a mans work by the time I was 12 years old! Along with the loss of my memory I spent over two years in a wheelchair and didn’t know what anyone was or how to do anything. Doctors told Linda and our two Daughters that I would never walk again and I had the mind of a four year old and would never be any better! I don’t want to give the entire book away, but I despised the wheelchair and spent two hours every mid night time performing therapy exercises, breaking loose joints frozen up by Rheumatoid Arthritis and Parkinson’s Disease and at that time four Strokes. Through the love and support of a loving family, and through Prayer and the Grace of God I could walk slowly with my custom walking stick. After feeding the overwhelming desire for knowledge and to learn how things worked and how to make them work again through the Grace of God and help and support of a loving Wife and all of my family I relearned everything I ever knew. You will be amazed to hear what I was able to accomplish and I thought there might be many others out there in the World that might be in the same condition I had been in because of sickness or injury that might get the hope that they might be able to come back and accomplish there hopes and dreams as I did.
The book that I wrote detailing my life from growing up on a farm, going on to enjoy a successful life as an Estimator and Project Manager in the. commercial Construction Industry until I was forced to retire from a company that I had become a part owner in 2000 at the age of 58. Then overcoming odds being an invalid the rest of my life to setting 7 Landspeed Records, to living somewhat of a normal life. I can’t believe as long as I have been on the ODT and was always the seller of some fine revolvers or of a revolver used by that army from the southern part of America that evidently was a figment of our ties imagination and doesn’t belong in American History Books any longer. That was one of my specialities Colt, Remingtons, and a lot of lesser know firearm manufacturers who furnished weapons during the War Between The States, I was always Capable of coming up with guns that looked like they were used just last week and I would tell you to hold on to that piece it will double in value in a few years. Well guess what a fess was years came sooner than we thought. prices on some of those old Guns have tripled In the last two years alone. Looking back is good and helps us realize how fast we are traveling in time but sometime that’s not so good sometime. My Book WHY looks back on a Young man growing in the country on a farm in somewhat of a depressed time. I was a hard worker and pushed myself hard all of the time todo what I thought it would take to succeed. I guess I used up all of my tokens too soon and I couldn’t play anymore. It started in the 90’s and I had even quit smoking four packs of cigarettes a day to help live more healthy but guess what? That’s when the WHY years started ie: Why Lord did you Let me survive severe congestive heart failure, The came a walking blood pressure of 220/100 averag and after years of test at Emory University Hospital with no success I am was diagnosed with Malignant Hypertension with a life expectancy of five years, but I lived 50 years with that same high blood pressure. Why Lord did you let me survive Malignant Hypertension for all of these years. My life has gotten worse, much worse. Over the years with heart attacks Massive Pulmonary Embolisms, 11 Strokes all the way around my brain, every Autoimmune Disease known to man.
