Up for sale is a Winchester 70 chambered in 264 win mag. This is a semi custom rifle i had rebarreled with a 1 in 8 twist Shilen sporter contour barrel. The metal has been parkerized and the stock is a nice older laminated Fajen that has been bedded for the action. Barrel is free floated. I currently have 12 rounds of factory ammo remaining. It runs groups with all factory ammo and handloads i have tried just under or over the 1.5 inch range. While it is not a tack driver it is more than capable as a hunting rifle for the range this caliber is good for. The scope is a Vortex crossfire 2 4-16×50 with a 30 mm tube. I can pull the scope and rings to cut the price down by $150.00 if need be. It is a little on the heavy side but it does keep down felt recoil very nicely. Please no lowball offers. Pickup in Franklin or Lagrange. May drive a bit further for the right deal. UPDATE-I recently saw 5 boxes of Remington green and yellow box core lokt ammo for this rifle at a shop in Columbus, GA for anyone considering this rifle but are wondering where to get ammo.
