Picked up this 1943 Mosin-Nagant M-38 from another trader. The owner before him was named Bubba, and the gun was in a decent vintage sporter stock with a turned down bolt, but thankfully it was never drilled and tapped for the eventual scope. I restored it to all of it's former WWII glory with a well-worn battle tested stock, rings, ramrod, and Russian attitude. Took her to the range today and using both 203 grain Wolf and 178 grain surplus got great groups, amazing fireballs, and a nice bruise! Awesome shooter! Asking $550 or equivalent trade value.
Because of Bubba, the buttplate serial number doesn't match. I do have the rest of the matching parts if you wanted to turn this into a Mosin-Nagant M-44...1945 dated barrel w/side folding bayonet, matching numbers bolt, and magazine with floorplate. I've never swapped a Mosin-Nagant barrel and have too many other projects, but for an additional $200 I'll include all the other parts, plus the additional screws, pins, and 100 rounds of ammo! I'd rather sell but will always listen to trades! Let me know what you got!
