Item Description: Alright fellow ODTers... here is your chance to own a legit piece of history. What we have here is the ACTUAL 2002 Triumph Daytona 955i that was ridden during the filming of the movie Torque... to be specific though there we about half a dozen others ridden as well but we crashed, scrapped and one turned into a track bike.
Anyways, it has about 800 miles so yea... it has been sitting since the movie was filmed. You might not realize but the Triumph NA headquarters is in Atlanta, which is where I first saw this gem sitting in the corner of an office. Long story short, I made an offer and they let me have it - perhaps that is just a short story made short. Anyways, I have the "Certificate of Origin" and the bike has never been titled or registered. When I bought it in 2018, I was by definition buying a new bike, albeit 16 years old new. I did not take the documents to the tag office because I never intended to ride it but if needed I could title it and transfer the title to you if so desired. I do have a notarized document from Triumph stating the authenticity and also some internal documents that detail the movements of the bike from the HQ to the film production team and back.
To the knitty-gritty... It has sat for 16 years, no you cannot ride it. The tires are as hard as rocks. Lets be honest, you dont want it to ride it though. You only want it cause its cool, unless you wanna ride it then hell yea brother slap on some rubber and let it rip. When I got it in 2018 it was missing several key electrical components, apparently over the years its "new" parts were stripped for warranty work and internal projects. I sourced all the missing components, OEM direct from Triumph except for the ECU which I had to buy used and put it back together and it fired it. I took it one time around the block and parked it. After sitting for 3 years and being moved it now is not getting power to the Tach when the key is flipped, the lights come on but the display is blank and the starter button does nothing. I started taking it down to diagnose but honestly I just dont care because again I am never going to ride it.
So yea, now that you have read my life story I am looking for 10k cash or 100 benjis. I would consider a trade or cash plus trade. I am not desperate to sell and do not 'need' the money but figured somebody might enjoy this more than me seeing as how I have let it collect an inch of dust over the last 3 years. Located in Oxford, thats the uppity part of Covington.

Oh my... wow. I remember thinking about this bike so often as a kid. Wow. Wish I could get it off your hands but only have trade value in the form of 2x bikes that equal 10k. Possibly some cash. Don't want to press anything, just stopping by to pay my respects! - Andrew

Unfortunately I am out of the riding game for at least 17.5 years :grey:
