For sale or Trade, a Scarce Smith and Wesson model 17-8, 6-inch, 22LR revolver in the original box. This gun was only produced from 1996-1999 in a limited quantity. The frame is steel with a blue glass bead finish and the 10-round cylinder is alloy with the same type of finish. I’ve had her in my collection for several years and as you can see from the pics, she is in excellent shape. I believe she would be an excellent addition to anyone’s collection. Mechanically the revolver is in excellent condition with no issues and Bank vault lockup and timing. The bore and cylinder chambers are mint and the mechanical working order is flawless.

Included with the sale are the original numbered box, and all the documents. Happy to discuss other grips if you do not approve of the Altamonts or original Hogue Factory Rubber Grips. This one is truly as clean as they come, I am just downsizing my collection a little as we have a newborn.

Manufactured in 1993, this beauty has desirable features no longer available on today's modern machine-made guns- like Pre-Mim parts, and of course, the absence of that ugly lock.

History:
Caliber - 22 Long Rifle, single/double-action revolver built on the round butt K target frame with 3 screws. 6-inch full lug barrel, blue glass bead finish only, K target frame with a round butt, now fitted with a 10-shot lightweight aluminum alloy fluted cylinder with a nominal length of 1.62", fitted with Target Hammer, Target Trigger, Drilled and Tapped for scope mount, Square butt Synthetic Grips, new MIM thumbpiece, 1/8" Pinned Patridge front sight with micrometer click rear sight. The small S&W trademark is found on the frame side of the revolver under the thumbpiece. 10-groove serrated backstrap and fore strap.
