Item Description: I Traded for this beautiful 1884 Trapdoor Springfield 45-70 a few months ago. It cleaned up nicely, but now it just sits in the cabinet as a “safe Queen.” It’s a wonderful piece with a rich history and is in remarkably good shape for a 140 year old rifle. There is some pitting on the side plate and light pitting on the barrel, but overall condition is good. All mechanical parts work as they should. If there is anything specific you would like a more detailed picture of I will be happy to add it later. Thanks for looking guys, and have a great day.
Also included is a reproduction Sling, Reproduction Cleaning Rod, and about half a box of cowboy action 45-70 loads that are safe to shoot in the rifle.
