I’ve got an Ithaca single shot .22 that my dad got back in the late ‘50’s as his first gun. It became my first gun at 7 and now my nephew is looking to go shooting with us using the same gun. He just turned 8 and I would be happy to use these with him his first time out this weekend.

edit: it’s a bit too far from me. I’ll have to pass on it, but thank you for being so kind as to give these away in the spirit of spreading the passion for shooting.

Lots of good folks on ODT. Thanks for helping to pass along the heritage of our sport to the next generation. For the youth in our area, we ask them to show us their hunter safety card and the first box is on us. It takes a great deal of effort to take the course and pass the test and they are very proud to show that card. We know they are serious about the shooting sports and most importantly we know they have a good basic understanding of firearm and hunting safety.
