This gun was returned home by a soldier from WW2 and has no importation marks. I purchased this gun with it missing the following parts:
firing pin spring,
safety knob 7.7 Cal.
sling
cleaning rod
bayonet and scabbard
All of the parts have been replaced and I have the receipts for all of the replacement parts.
I have not shot the rifle and I don't have any ammunition for this gun. The stock shows normal wear and tear for a battle rifle that is over seventy five years old. The barrel is in good shape with no rust, rifling in the bore is intact. The bolt works properly and seats snugly in the receiver.
Matching #'s #521 are on the Bolt/extractor/firing pin/bayonet lug(last three numbers of the serial number #521) - safety does not match
Matching assembly#'s #844 are on the barrel, receiver plate, forend plate, and the forend cleaning rod band(#844).
Bayonet and sheath: WWII bayonet for an Arisaka Type 30 hook rifle. In sheath. Serial on pommel: #691328(non matching). Blade: 15 3/4". Total length: 20", in sheath: 20 3/4". Condition Wear from age.
Dust cover present - Yes, not matching
AA sights present - Yes, AA sights present, 1500 meters. Right wing on the Anti Aircraft sight is missing the tension spring.
