Here we have a CMP Model 1917 Eddystone WW1 Rifle that was chrome plated at some point in its life. I have CMP certification that will be included. The barrel is live and is shootable. It will come with a matching chrome bayonet, no unfortunately it is not serial # matching. Barrel is dated 11-18. I am no expert on grading a barrel but from what I can tell with a flashlight there is strong rifling present, and I can't seem to see any sort of pitting although it is hard to tell.
CMP Throat/Muzzle Readings:
Muzzle: 0+
Throat: 1+
The gun is used and shows it age, the chrome is flecked off in some places, dings in the stock etc.. but overall in good shape for being 100+ years old. This is a unique find as it has a live barrel, I believe most of these would have had their barrels plugged. This gun is live and ready to fire. I however have never fired it.
Pictures below, if you would like to see anything specific I'd be happy to take more.
I am throwing it out there at $900, there's not really a place where I could compare prices from, since these are rather rare. Feel free to send me a reasonable offer, this would be a great addition to anyones US surplus gun collection. Sorry no trades only reason I am selling is I need to pay some bills.
