Anyone know a smith who can install and pin a Colt front sight base I’ve two barrels needing this. I know the Guru of AR’s is on here , hopefully he will chime in. Thanks guys !

Yep. Talked to him yesterday. He’s so busy tho . I know he’d do it. But hate to bother him. Great guy. Did a pistol thing for me !
Something I can do, I'm covered up with belt fed builds at the moment. Something I'd get to when I had a little time but not enough time to really work on stuff. Would guess sometime in the next month or so till I could get to it.

With there being such a small difference between F and standard sight post height. Is it feasible to just shorten the sight by .040 ( 1/32 “ ) and be ok ? I ask as I’ve a barrel with F post and need a standard post on it. This was suggested to me by others on here. Thanks
