I have no problem with the car/suv itself. But why call it a Mustang? Or Mach anything? Leave that to the actual Mustang, and call this something new.

Tesla is the only company using 18650s as far as I know. No idea what the new Mach E will have.

I don't know if it matters to you but the Mustang is made in Mexico.

Mustangs are built in Michigan.

Never mind if you are referring only to this new electric model that I see will be built in Mexico.

You’re hung up on the name. It’s just a name. Means nothing to 90% of the people would would be willing to drop 40 to 60k on a SUV.

If the name means nothing - then why are they using both Mustang and Mach?

I'll say it's just the opposite. Sure some buyers don't care, but for most of them the Mustang name adds recognition & credibility. Even housewives who don't care about cars know what a Mustang is. That's why they are doing this - Ford knows the value of the name. I just think long term this starts the downward slide for the Mustang name. Once they start changing what the name goes on, then it loses it's focus.
