My wife works for a large company, recently they informed her that she had to transfer from Newnan (where we live) to Riverdale.... is that legal?

Riverdale? You’re kidding right? I’m no lawyer but I think and employer can pretty much dictate where you report to.
I’m no lawyer but a company I used to work for did it regularly to salary employees.. would tell them they would transfer there or not have a job.
Pretty much. Georgia is a right to work state

Why would it be illegal? Happens all the time.
Well GA is a right to work state which is usually a very good thing. It keeps union thugs out. But the other side of that sword is that the employer CAN fire or transfer or otherwise **** over the employee without having to show good reason.
this is true to my knowledge. Our company does it all the time.
