Flat or case?

What do you call a container of 10 boxes of ammunition. I thought 10 boxes was a flat but I got a container of 10 boxes and the label describes the contents as a case. I thought 2 flats was a case. Is this kind of like magazines and clips? This is the Stupid Stuff area so this seems to qualify.

Betting it was just regional. Any larger cardboard/wooden container of smaller packages usually ends up getting called a case.

I always call a flat of shot gun shells is 250 rounds and a case 100 rounds.
