I just don't have the time to recharge these style lights every day or twice a day
as I have in the past just for work. SOL on recharging when the power goes out.

yep, it seems i always need them when they are dead... you ever notice that?

Whatever you get make sure it doesn't use those CR123 batteries.

Those things are expensive.

thank God. I'm not alone lol.
yeah that's when it happens isn't it?
I like the fact my go-to uses regular batteries too.
I don't like to depend on rechargeables when its
crunch time.

streamlight sidewinder. will run for a week on the lowest setting. plenty to light up a room on low,plenty bright on high,nv compatible,4 brightness settings,small,runs on AA's...

we have used 3 of them this weekend. perfect for SHTF as well as getting out the genny and running drop cords...

Cheap Walmart aaa headlamps

Maglite led are pretty cheap, run on regular batteries or rechargeables like eneloops, & are made in USA. They've upgraded the led a time or two, so newer models have more lumens than older models.

I have a few of the older models. I wonder if its worth switching the to LED via the
kits or should I go buy the newer versions.
