Flashlight for night fishing?

So every time I night fish I have a blast. Especially for trout . ( where legal of course) any recommendations for flashlights or headlamps? Found myself wrapping it up and walking back to the cabin tonight not too much after dark. But I did catch a big mama trout in the dark . Bazinga .looked like this one but bigger .

Petzl is pretty much tier one on headlamps. Mine has 3 power levels, one that I can almost spot across the lake. I have had about 3 or 4 junk ones and will not be replacing the Petzl.

got an Everbrite headlamp today from Amazon which has red green and white light

I have been using COAST for several years as an aircraft mechanic. They are on the shelf at Home Depot and they have a couple choices.

I like the white only on the job and the White/Red for not killing my night vision while flying an aircraft.

They use AAA batteries and have a decent battery life depending on brightness levels.

I tend to bring them home when the head straps start getting loose. The light still works great. I just never liked loose straps at work


I just wish they used AA batteries to last longer
