First Rat Snake This Year

In my backyard yesterday. Heading for the house so I grabbed a limb to turn him around. Feisty fellow, coiled and struck.
Got him turned around and escorted to the woods.

Ive seen a crap load of snakes this year, including two copperheads.
That's a good snake to have around.

Here is @Koolaid demonstrating that he's overcome any fear of snakes. This little guy wandered into the "safe" area for loading shotguns at the 3 gun match at Marion Road Gun Club on Saturday.
