An interesting handload for 12 guage is to take it all the way except crimping. Pour the lead back into the bottle. Fill the power piston with your knocked out primers. This only functions in pumps or single shot. Test it on an old piece of tin, a junk car or the like. It's not your every day load but it's interesting and zero recoil. I think you'll like the square holes they make. Substitute flechettes, small finishing nails, other stuff that fits in there would be some fired pistol brass, a good use for useless 22 brass, a couple of lead balls. It's endless what fits...it comes out. Just be safe and not stupid.
