Ever do this with a 10/22?

Just wondering if this is doable, and any idea who could do it and a ballpark figure on price.

Could I have the front sight moved back on a 10/22 TD, and have it thredded? That way I'll still have the irons as a backup.

I've seen a threaded front sight that screws when the can is off. I'll try to dig up where I have that info and post it.

Yes all it takes is money. A milled slot and a custom or fabricated front and a threaded barrel are within most gun smith’s area of expertise.

Sorry, what I was thinking about was done by using a discarded barrel. My friend cut off the front sight and threaded it to screw on his barrel. Nothing but $$$$
