Yep, there's a limit on how many kids you can claim for earned income credit, so you sell the SSN for the extra ones you have spawned.

In bankruptcy court, we automatically assumed fraudulent tax filings when a married couple filed individually - both were claiming head of household, and splitting up the kids so everyone got a check. A lot of tax preparers would tell them that was legal, a lot of tax preparers got quality time with the IRS.
