The roads aren"t closed. You can still get to hospital.

They are enforcing shelter in place order, but authorized and through travel is allowed.

If it's OK to drive through then why are they blocking the road? the Shelter in place should pretty much make sure anyplace inside that zone is shut down anyway.

It doesn't make any sense, which seems to be par for the course with these local morons trying to figure out what they need to do.

It is a small community and several loudmouths have challenged the shelter directions.

So the county upped the pressure.

They have zero cases right now and are doing their best to keep it that way.

The " roadblocks" are manned by Barney and Gomer, and all they are doing is checking that the traffic is authorized. All very much in line with a declared state of emergency.

Same being done on the outer banks and several more barrier islands down the coast

These are state and federal roads. Someone with a tow truck need to hook up those barriers and toss them down the side of the Scenic Skyway.
