I bring a shopping list, but then when I'm at the store I forget to use it.

I find it in my pocket when I'm about to unlock my car, fishing in my pocket for my car keys, shopping cart full of groceries next to me!

At that point I say "there's no point in looking at the list, because I'm not going back in again!"

Bubba, could have gotten the Snickers ice cream bars
then get a different 2nd item. Need to work on your story
before popping it on the S.O. If they had erased your memory
you wouldn't know where home was. When you DO get home
and they want to know where you been for 4 hours at least you
have a good excuse since it took that long to find which vehicle
the keys in your pocket would unlock and start. And that's also
why there aren't any Snicker ice cream bars left. Ate 'em while
searching for the car.

I usually lose my list halfway way through and just guess (wrongly) at the rest.

When they want to take my temp at stores, etc., I turn around and start unbuttoning my pants and they say
“what are you doing??!“ It is about that second, I drop my pants about halfway and say “You said you wanted to take my temp !!”
They go crazy!!! “SIR !! SIR , it is ok, you are fine….go ahead !!”
(you have to remember to pull only your pants down, not your undies ! )
