No, mistakenly did this once, the fawn come in late and momma was already down by time I realized. I felt terrible!

I walked up on a Fawn one time with those big eyes and I almost quit hunting forever. I haven't been hunting since before I left for Iraq though so you might say I quit regardless.

Depends on the size of the yearlings and the size of the family group. If I get a group of 5 in front of me with 1 mature, 2 young, and 2 yearlings, I will shoot the mature doe every day.

Nah. Does will break away from their fawns soon enough, when they go in heat.

I don't shoot does much anyway. Not unless ratios are way out of balance.
