This thing was in no mood whatsoever to haul ass, or even think about moving from that exact spot. However, she wasn't there when I came back through an hour later. I been around em, I know they don't play.

That indicates she was laying eggs. Once she begins the process, she won't move for any reason until she's finished.

She isn't going to bother anything , leave her alone. A snapper that big may be 75-100 years old and has avoided humans so far. Do you really want to be the first person causing her harm?
 
Went back to the spot today and a massacre had occurred. Holes and egg casings(not really shells) everywhere... pawprints... It was genocide.

Dang. Too bad. I know they eat ducks, but I like reptiles, and turtles can outlive people. I think that's neat.

(Yeah, I never really grew up.)

Cycle of life though. She'll have lots more chances to lay eggs if you don't eat her!
