Detonation at WOT

Any chance that fueling is blocked or restricted? A lean condition can cause detonation. Also, carbon buildup on the piston head, if bad enough, can increase compression.

What octane gas you running?

Quick update. I finally received and ran through a bottle of EPR fuel treatment. It fixed the injector that was causing the skip at idle. Definitely a noticeable improvement in idle quality. I havent romped on it yet to know if it corrected the detonation yet. We shall see.

fuel pressure reg hose or valve stopped up fuel filter or tank sock...time for a diagnostic/ tune or out of calibration TPS,MAP,dirty MAF,filter or any vac hoses..sorry didnt see that last post Harry.
