Desert Storm M9 Bayonett

Morning,

Looking for some info on a period correct M9 for an Engineer. A friend of mine is looking for the bayonet he would have carried in Desert Storm. He was an Engineer in the 101st Airborne (326th) and carried an M16A2 with the M203. He said it was different than a normal M9 and none of the ones he's found are the same. What's the difference and does anyone know where to find an original or a repro?

Nice! Any idea what was different about the ones issued to Engineers?

No ideal, even the sheath is the same, with the built in wire cutters

Thx! Looks like there are more than a few variations. I also found reference to an M11 EOD Knife on a wiki page (no lug, so not technically a bayonet), which would line up with the M203 blocking the mount and explosives use.
