I actually paid $5 for it at a yard sale about 7 or 8 years ago.

How long has using deer decoys been legal in Ga.? I honestly don't know myself, guess I wasn't even aware they were.........

Can’t say that I ever recall them being illegal.
now that everyone can Bait, most may not want or need to use a decoy
I have an old folding Decoy thats easy to carry
that i use at a certian stand close to the house and it has worked
it has a single long spike to lift it up to standing height
I spray it with what ever doe pee i have and tack a piece of toilet paper to the tail
I hunt in fairley thick stuffif (shots 80yds max) if anything it will intrest a Deer enough to come in closer and not pay much attention to anything else (like you in a stand drawing your Bow) adding a Turkey Decoy just helps with the calm

seemed to calm the deer.
Wanted to revive this post and see if anyone else has tried decoys with any luck and if so, what kind did you use. I’m kicking around the idea of getting one of the cheap 2d ones. Not willing to spend the $ on a 3D one. Also, pretty cool idea about using the turkey decoy to calm the deer. Might try that too.
