Cz scorpion barrel nut help

Can anyone help with removing the barrel nut in my Cz scorpion? I bought the Midwest industry socket, and all I did was snap it in half. Any advice on how to get it removed would also be greatly appreciated.

I’ve removed a few and never had any issues.

I'd get the money back on that MWI wrench.

Also try using a propane torch to heat up the nut a little. Might expand the nut to break whatever thread locker they used.

Do you have a carbine, or a pistol? A bit of difference in removing the two.

I assumed it was a pistol as the MWI tools I’ve seen are for pistol barrel nuts.

It is a pistol, and I did hit it with a torch. I need to replace the handguard to make it 922R.

If that’s all you’re doing it for... don’t bother.

If you want a new handguard... that’s a reason to get a new handguard.

They get a little crazy with the loctite. Heat. Work it forwards and back. Heat and repeat. I used only a 10” crescent to get mine off years ago.
