You definitely can use cryptocurrency instead of a more direct electronic money transfer like venmo or cashapp. Coinbase is the first that comes to mind.
Still gonna be traceable more likely than not unless you go through a lot of trouble, most crypto is only pseudonymous.

Very much so.
Not that you see it (as all good crypto systems should be), but it's why PayPal can do transfers with banks and such. There's a lot more to 'crypto' then e-currency.
